Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Colorado Talking Book Library is unique as the State's Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped and since 1931 has provided reading materials to people who cannot read standard print books. The library also recently began housing the State Publications. The CTBL is housed in a 25,818sf one-story building constructed in 1974 sited at 180 Sheridan Boulevard (US 95), a major thoroughfare with five lanes of traffic on the western edge of Denver. The Colorado Talking Book Library requires civil repairs, asphalt and concrete replacement, correct drainage and site water outflow, ADA compliant walkway to entry, expanded entry slab, striping and signage of parking, OSHA plus ADA compliant railings/access to loading dock, adding of barriers to prevent damage and vandalism, reduction of heat island, and other site improvements at their west Denver facility Please refer to the bid documents and drawings attached at Appendix F for the full scope of work. The project will be divided into four phases and awarded based on the total bid amount for Projects A-D. Funds over the amount available would be contracted as a condition precedent to potentially be completed as funds become available.
