As of May 28, 2024, this solicitation has been awarded. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Housing Authority of The City of Summit is seeking proposals from qualified firms to serve as a Nonprofit Affordable Housing Developer Partner. Respondents are required to comply with the requirements of N.J. S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. Attention is called to the fact that respondents must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their color, creed, or national origin. The Housing Authority of the City of Summit reserves the right to reject all proposals, or waive any informality in the selection process. The Housing Authority of the City of Summit (the Authority) seeks qualification proposals from qualified developers with a familiarity and successful history in the construction and financing of affordable housing in Summit, New Jersey. The successful respondent will be able to illustrate, on a project by project basis, recent examples of completed projects in the City of Summit that were completed and placed in-service in a timely fashion, through a host of public and private financing options, including, but not limited to, various forms of tax credits, bonding alternatives, and public grants. The Authority has identified certain sites in the City of Summit that may be appropriate for the development of affordable housing. The Authority is contemplating participating in such development in a variety of ways, including without limitation, investment of existing Affordable Housing funds; use of Authority owned land; investment of other funds available to the Authority; and/or development of land donated or pledged to the Authority for the purpose of the development of affordable housing. All proposals must demonstrate or set forth the following: Describe the breadth and length of experience of respondent with respect to: Overall affordable housing development, including a thorough description and demonstration of successful construction, finance and/or management experience of affordable housing in Summit, New Jersey. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
