E-mailed questions from vendors 8/28/2023 - 9/11/2023 8/28/2023 till 2:00PM 9/11/2023 The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is requesting proposals for architectural design, planning, consulting, construction management and related services on a task order basis in accordance with this agreement and any specific terms and conditions and specifications contained therein. Proposals are requested from firms offering any of the listed services. Projects may include site and building maintenance studies, existing conditions assessments, feasibility studies, and construction management services for projects under $5M. The successful firm qualifications include the following: o Must be a professional architectural and design consulting firm with a licensed Architect and a licensed Engineer on staff licensed in the State of Maryland. o Preferred design-build and/or design-cm experience in the Calvert, Charles, and St Mary's counties. Supply examples of completed projects in Calvert, Charles, and St Mary's counties. o Familiarity with the code requirements in Calvert, Charles, and St Mary's counties. o Familiarity with grant funding requirements for local, state, and federal grants. o Ability to attend on-site meetings at each campus. o Have substantial experience conducting facilities infrastructure survey and documentation for higher education clients. o Have substantial expertise in identifying deferred maintenance items through field survey and testing. o Capability of assisting College to prioritize deferred maintenance tasks based on the survey findings and develop budgetary requirements to clear those maintenance/replacement backlogs. o Have substantial knowledge of the latest ADA, building and energy codes and be able to apply the knowledge to the required survey. o Supplies documentation prior government/quasi-government design-build and/or design cm experience. Must have completed a minimum of four government/quasi-government funded projects. o The principal office location is in the Calvert, Charles, and St Mary's counties and has been operational for over 10 years. o Supplies references and/or recommendation letters that document history of design build and/or design-CSM experience in Calvert, Charles, and St Mary's counties. o The firm can produce high-quality energy-efficient building designs incorporating the latest technology. o Have registered LEED professional on staff and experience with LEED silver certified or better projects in firm's project portfolio. o Have substantial experience in providing design peer review and performing on-site quality control on the owner's behalf. o Have substantial experience in building interior and exterior renovation in higher education settings. o Submit Firm Standard Form 330 All firm's contacts with College of Southern Maryland regarding any matter concerning this Invitation for Bid (RFP) should be made through: Joe Piccolo, Procurement Director, ph.
