The Work will widen Timberline Road and Vine Drive north of the Timberline/ BNSF Railroad Crossing. The Work includes: demolition of existing asphalt, erosion control, excavation for new roadway widening; drainage channel regrading, embankment for new roadway; aggregate base for the roadway widening; asphalt paving and patching; RCP pipe and manhole modifications; traffic control; traffic signal caissons, conduits (bored & open cut), potholing (SUE plans not provided) and pull boxes. The Work will need to be completed in the Fall of 2023. The Work will require close coordination with BNSF Railway and an Agreement will need to be established between the selected Contractor and BNSF Railway (See Attachment 3 for a copy of this Agreement). The Work will require coordination with City Traffic Dept., which will be responsible for installation of the traffic signal equipment, signage, and striping. Bid security in the amount of not less than 5% of the total Bid must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
