The proposed Work is described as follows: Work on this project will consist of the installation of (1") IPS P.E. Water Services and or (4") sewer services from a on an existing water and or sewer main to a location designated by the Little Egg Harbor MUA within existing right-of-way. In the event of a need for clarification. it is agreed that both parties will refer to the LEHMUA current Rules and Regulations for Water and Sewer with the latest revision date of April 2022.The Little Egg Harbor MUA reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and to waive any informality in any and make such awards or act as may be in the best interest of the Little Egg Harbor MUA. Bids must be on the bid form in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon.Said bids shall be addressed to Earl F. Sutton, Jr., Executive Director Little Egg Harbor MUA, 823 Radio Road, PO Box 660 Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A person bidding on a contact for the erection, alteration or repair of a public building, structure, facility or other improvement to real property, the total price of which exceeds $100,000, shall furnish a guarantee as provided for herein. A contracting unit may provide that a person bidding on any other contract, in accordance with law, shall furnish a guarantee as provided for herein. The Successful Bidder be required to furn a certificate of insurance. Contractors and all Subcontractors will be required to pay prevailing wages and conform to the labor standards set in the Contact Documents. Bidders required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (P.L. 1975, c.127, Affirmative Action); P.L. 1963. C150 (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act); and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et seq.). Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 10:5-33, "Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127." The contractor is notified that he must comply with P.L. 1977, c. 33, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contactor is further notified that he must comply with P.L. 1999 c.238 Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contactor is also further notified that they must comply with P.L. 2004 c. 57 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business for any name subcontractors in accordance with the act. In accordance with N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17(g) and N.J.A.C. 7:224.17(g), all applicable surety bonds required in connection with the advertisement and award of building contracts or subagreements must be by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds), incorporated herein by reference.
