Any and all communication regarding this Solicitation shall be on the Kent County Purchasing Division Inquiry Blog via the Bid Opportunities page or during pre-proposal meetings. Kent County reserves the right to determine the response format or not respond, at its sole discretion. The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting quotations for snow removal services for the North County Campus located at 4191 17 Mile Rd Ne, Cedar Springs, MI 49319. This is a one (1) year contract starting the 2023/2024 season with two (2) optional, one (1) year contract renewals. SCOPE
o Respondent is to clearly stake all areas to be plowed.
o Respondent is responsible for complete snowplowing when 2" or more of snow has accumulated by 4 am each day and again if 2" or more accumulates.
o The parking lot has the least amount of traffic between 8pm - 4am.
o Respondent is responsible to keep the parking lot free of ice as reasonably possible. For example,slush that is caused by thawing snow or rain is to be plowed when there is the possibility that it may create hazardous conditions.
o Respondent is responsible for removing drifting snow from drives and parking lots when requested by Kent County.
o Respondent is to replace and/or repair all parking lot sod that may be displaced and/or damaged by plowing.
Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondent. A pre-submission conference is scheduled for this Solicitation. Attendee should arrive a minimum of 5 minutes before the conference scheduled date and time to sign-in. The conference provides equal opportunity to seek clarifications and inspect the location (if applicable). Attendee shall have fully reviewed all Solicitation documents and correspondence prior to the conference. Attendee is responsible for taking meeting notes and shall be an employee or authorized reseller of the Respondent with requisite knowledge, skill, and abilities to participate.
