Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dallas, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project will reconfigure the existing I-30 corridor between the I-35E and I-45 interchanges in Dallas. This area has been identified as a top congestion corridor by the Texas Clear Lanes initiative. Improvements will provide more efficient traffic mobility in the downtown area and increased safety enhancements. Limits I-30 from I-35SE to I-45, Length 2.3 Miles. Reconstruct and widen I-30 main lanes from six to 12 lanes. Increase the weave lengths between interchanges. Redesign of cross-streets to provide safer accommodations for pedestrians and bicyclists, and to reconnect and improve city street connections. Improvements at rail crossings for DART, UPRR, BNSF and TRE. Potential decking opportunities to be done by others As of March 9, 2026, the project is currently under construction, with substantial completion date of 2031.
