Site work for a water / sewer project in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Upgrade stormwater conveyance infrastructure within the Suter Street neighborhood as identified in a recently completed drainage study. This drainage improvement project was developed following the Suter Street community enrolled in the City's Drainage Improvement Program. The neighborhood spans from Charles Street to Washington Street, and from Jefferson Street to North Main Street. Public Works conducted a drainage study which should that improving the stormwater conveyance infrastructure within the neighborhood was the most practical solution in order to lessen the severity of heavy rain events. The project is included in the county 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) possibly for FY2025, as of August 1, 2024, per owner, this project has not received any budgeted funds. There is currently no activity. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
