Bids are invited for the installation of the 6" DIA C-900 DR18 PVC water main replacement on 6th Street between N. Vogelsang Ave. and Scott Ave. The waterline installation spans approximately 1,970-LF with various water main items and quantities of work including but not limited to: Connecting 6 (six) existing water mains to the new water main, reconnecting 14 (fourteen) existing water meters, capping the replaced water main to be abandon in place, installation of 7 (seven) gave valves, installation of 13 (thirteen) fire hydrants, and 880 SY of pavement repairs, following water main installation. Installation includes all related appurtenances, fittings, pressure testing Question Deadline 08/31/2023 at 11:59 PM CT Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. The City of Cameron reserves the right to reject any or all bids at their discretion or to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
Bids may be held by the City of Cameron for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date bids are received for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors whose System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration is not active or that are debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation in federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
