The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is seeking a Professional Services Consultant to develop a long-term Master Facilities Plan (MFP) to support UI Healths Mission and Strategic growth. The goal of the MFP is to develop and assess the future opportunities for the hospital and outpatient care facilities on the UIC West Campus and within greater Chicagoland area. The engagement will include evaluation of existing facilities and infrastructure to assess the current facility conditions, current state needs and evaluate the highest and best use of UI Health spaces. The objective of this effort is to create a planning framework for the UI Health Campus that provides for logical and flexible facility utilization and potential expansion opportunities to support its mission. The process includes data collection/evaluation and engaging leadership for strategic input from which space reorganization and expansion options are tested. The plans should ensure flexibility for future growth, adjacency and optimization of clinical care and support functions to service UI Health. The effort shall provide a high-level review of current land use, account for and inventory current facilities and property assets, understand state and federal regulatory constraints, and layer anticipated program growth as defined by the UI Health Business strategy team and Leadership. The effort will leverage prior work coupled with a collaborative effort from our project team members. We will also evaluate the options within the context of the UIC West Campus, the Health Science Colleges, and the College of Medicine Strategic Plan.
