Site work and paving for a civil project in Ionia, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Undertake complete reconstruction of street surface and all underground utilities, plus curb and gutter and sidewalk replacement as needed on King Street from Lincoln Avenue (M-21) to Hackett Street. The current infrastructure is reaching the end of its useful life. Total reconstruction distance is 0.195 miles. Reconstruction will result in all new underground infrastructure (watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer), street surface and ancillary infrastructure (curb, gutter and sidewalks) to improve vehicular/pedestrian travel and extend the life of the water distribution and stormwater/sanitary sewer collection systems. As of September 28, 2023, this project is included in the City of Ionia's Fiscal Year 23-24 to FY 28-29 and funding is allotted for FY 24-25. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
