The Work is identified as Renovation & Addition located at Residence West, University of Windsor, Windsor, Ontario also known as Project No.: RFT 2023-08-10, as prepared by the University of Windsor, with Archon Architects Incorporated. The building is located at 460 Huron Church Road and is formerly known as MacDonald Hall, serving as one of the main student residences on the UWindsor campus. The building will be expanded and transformed into a commercial use office space, equipped with dental suites and counselling rooms, vaccine storage, and office and meeting spaces, which will be in part leased to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and in part used for the University of Windsor's Student Counselling Centre. In general, the scope of work includes but is not limited to the renovation of the existing building and a new addition to house the building reception area and new elevator, and a new parking lot, as indicated on Drawings and in Specifications provided as part of this tender. Work may commence at any time after October 6, 2023, and shall be substantially completed by March 3, 2025. Additionally, the project shall be completed in accordance with the Phased Occupancy as follows: - Phase 1 Occupancy (WECHU) July 26, 2024. - Phase 2 Occupancy (WECHU) December 9, 2024. - Phase 3 Occupancy (UW) March 31, 2025.
