No definite date for the rebid.** Replacement of Cathodic Protection at Water Treatment Plant The MVWA may reject any bid if in its judgment the resources, financial standing, or experience of the bidder justifies such rejection in view of the work to be performed. 1. Barricading to protect the area as it is adjacent to the filtration plants parking lot. Plastic construction fencing is acceptable. 2. Excavate both ends of the tank to the bottom to install the new anodes. It is to be assumed there is no contaminated soil. There will be a separate line item to deal with contaminated soil should it be encountered. 3. Remove the necessary tank coating for the new bond connections. 4. Bond connections wire to tank. 5. Install one (1) 10-pound zinc anode and one (1) 9-pound magnesium anode at each end of the tank as per tank manufacturers recommendations. 6. Recoat area where the new Bond connections have been made and where the coating was removed in item #3. 7. Backfill and compact with original excavated materials. 8. Cathodic test the new installation. 9. See and ensure proper finish material can be mowed in the future. 10. Work is to be completed by November 30, 2023.
