The Barnstable Fire District Water Department is seeking sealed Bids for the Well 2 & 5 GAC Treatment Addition project. In general, and without limitation, the work includes the construction of new drinking water treatment facilities including but not limited to furnishing and installing a prefabricated metal building on a concrete foundation; all site work, yard piping, gate valves, hydrants; a prepackaged granular activated carbon adsorption system; bag filter system; process piping and valves; SCADA, instrumentation, and controls; new well pump and well cleaning; start-up, testing, and training for the Well 2 and 5 GAC Treatment Facilities as shown on the Contract Drawings and as specified in these Specifications. The Contract duration for this Project shall be 545 calendar days commencing on the date of the Notice to Proceed. This project is being bid under the Bid Law provisions of M.G.L. c.149, ss44A-44J (Building Contract with Filed Sub-bids). Each bid must be accompanied by a copy of the current Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work required (Sewage and Water Treatment Plants for General Contractors and the applicable sub-bid category of work for Sub-Bidders). Each bid must also be accompanied by an update statement in the form prescribed by the DCAMM Deputy Commissioner. The goals for this project are a minimum of 4.2 percent D/MBE participation and 4.5 percent D/WBE participation by certified DBEs.
