The proposed Work includes the excavation, supply, placement, and fine grading of granulars, supply and placement of asphalt concrete, the transportation, placement, and grading of topsoil and supply and placement of hydroseed. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid bond or certified cheque in lieu thereof in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Tender Price (including H.S.T.). Subject to the Contract Documents, the successful Bidder shall be required to provide Performance Guarantees as specified in the Tender Documents and in compliance with the Construction Remedies Act S.N.B. 2020, c. 29. performance bond and a labour and material payment bond, each at fifty percent (50%) The Bid that is compliant with Phase I mandatory requirements hereunder and contains the lowest or any Bid Price will not necessarily be accepted by the City Note in drawings attached that some trails require the excavation, supply, placement, and fine grading of granulars, supply and placement of asphalt concrete, the transportation, placement, and grading of topsoil and supply and placement of hydroseed, where as some trails require only the supply, placement to top up, and fine grading of granulars, supply and placement of asphalt concrete, the transportation, placement, and grading of topsoil and supply and placement of hydroseed. Topsoil is owner supplied. The contractor is responsible for the topsoil pickup, delivery, and placement. See the technical specifications for further information. Substantial Performance of the Work shall be obtained by October 31, 2023.
