Renovation of a municipal facility in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Bldg. 14 Partial Roof Replacement & Bldg 15. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to this scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Upon completion of roof replacement, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with the Maintenance Supervisor. SCOPE OF WORK: Remove old roofing down to the decking and replace any decking not suitable for new metal roof panels & substrate. Repair and re-nail all loose decking to provide a smooth, secure substrate for new roof installation. Install ice & water shield 3' back from all eave edges. Install waterproof membrane (rated for use with steel roofing materials) on top of the entire deck, prior to installation of plywood strips for anchoring. Alpine Metal Roofing is the preferred, specified material: full-thickness 28 Gauge steel, manufactured to ASTM A792 Grade 80 specifications. This product comes with a 40-year warranty. Alternates must be pre-approved by the Plant Superintendent or designee. Alpine Specification attached. The successful bidder shall install 1"x3" furring around the perimeter including the peak of each roof level and full length horizontally every 2feet from the eave to the peak, secured into the Rafter or Truss. Excluding the small section over the current salt storage area. Two rows of Ice Cleat(s) shall be installed across the front edge to prevent snow & ice from sliding off in large amounts. Include costing for roof decking replacement where visibly rotted/damaged. Also include a contingent for unforeseen damage, price per sheet installed. On roofs with less than 5/12 pitch butyl tape shall be installed at metal panel overlaps. The successful bidder is responsible to remove all debris & properly dispose of, off-site. Contractor shall warrantee work for a period of one year from date of payment for job. Warrantee shall be for parts and labor. Work shall conform to all applicable codes, be done according to manufacturer's instructions, and follow industry best practices. Bid price is to include all materials, labor, disposal of materials fees and site clean-up. Final acceptance of completed job will be provided by the appropriate Maintenance Supervisor. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Certified Payroll is required. Work is to be done between the hours of _7:00 AM__ and _5:00 PM__, Monday through Friday unless otherwise arraigned with Maintenance Supervisor in advance. No work shall be done on a State Holiday unless approved in advance by Maintenance Supervisor. Quote shall include a start date, in days, post issuance of a PO. Work must be completed within 45 days of receiving the Purchase Order. All applicable environmental testing associated with this work will be provided to the contractor prior to start of work. No suspected/possible ACM materials shall be disturbed unless there is a written testing report showing that it is clean. Lawn Damage/Property Damage: If the delivery of materials or any other work necessitates the contractor, his suppliers, or sub-contractors to drive on the lawn for ANY reason, the contractor shall be held responsible for the repair of the lawn. Any property damage caused by work performed is to be corrected to the condition existing prior to start of the job Continuity of Work/Communication/Scheduling: Once the job has begun, it is to be worked on continuously until completed. If there are any delays, even if due to inclement weather, a Work Control Representative MUST be contacted. Facility Safety: The Facility will be occupied during the job. For this reason, the contractor must take all reasonable care to safeguard building occupants. The contractor shall ensure all tools, materials and other items are picked up, removed, or stored and are safely secured at the end of each workday. Any ladders, scaffolding or lifts used in conjunction with this job are to be stored to the satisfaction of the Maintenance Supervisor at the end of the day. The work as indicated above shall be scheduled as not to interfered with other functions of the facility unless arranged and approved at least one week in advance.
