The purpose of this RFQ is to select an A/E firm to perform design services for complete and partial roof replacements of Kricker Hall and the Rhodes Athletic Center, on the campus of Shawnee State University. Also included are several building envelope integrity activities. Design Services are requested to start immediately and prepare bid documents by November 1, 2023. Construction is to begin immediately after spring commencement on April 29, 2024. Perform on-site assessment of existing conditions that will determine specific building envelope activities required, roof removal and new roof work plans and specifications. This will include existing roof systems, roof drainage systems, copings, and all systems identified upon inspection. This will also require the tasks of masonry, painting and sealants, fenestration, and façade remediation. Roof access will be coordinated with the SSU Facilities Department. For projects advertised with an appropriately developed Program of Requirements ("POR"), upon award of the Agreement, commence with Design. For projects without such a POR, upon award of the Agreement, commence by developing the Program of Requirements. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth& Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types.
