Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury (the "Town") to prospective qualified proponents to submit proposals for Consultant Services for a Five (5) Year Transit Master Plan. The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury (BWG) is seeking proposals from qualified Consultant to provide a comprehensive review of the current transit system, and identify areas in which the Town can improve operational efficiency, and expand services to meet the needs of new development and access to the local workforce over the next 5-years. The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is the southern-most municipality in Simcoe County. The town, straddling Hwy. 400 and Yonge Street corridors, is located at the midpoint between the City of Barrie and the heart of the Greater Toronto Area ("GTA"). The landscape is dominated by agricultural activity, most notably the Holland Marsh, but also features an emerging urban centre, Bradford, with considerable population growth forecasted for the next several years. Bradford West Gwillimbury is recognized by Statistics Canada as an outlying component of the Toronto Census Metropolitan Area and is increasingly reflecting the trends and policies affecting the entire Greater Toronto Area. Due to its proximity to the GTA, small-town attributes and relative affordability, the town has experienced significant residential and commercial development over the past several years, as evidenced by a population growth rate that is the second-highest in Ontario.
