Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Taunton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a 50,000-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The scope of work includes the of the new construction of the joined Police and Fire public safety complex building and grounds. The building will be a two story, 50,000 square foot, steel framed facility with masonry facades, and slab on grade construction. The scope will include all site improvements and development. The scope may also include a separate facility for equipment storage and training on site. Refer to the schedule of Alternates. All bids shall include a bid bond in accordance with Chapter 30, Section 39M or Chapter 149, Section 44B or a certified treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank, for five (5) percent of the value of the proposed work payable to the City of Taunton, Massachusetts. This check to be property of said City if the Bidder fails to execute the contract, all other required documents, provide all certificates, and satisfactory bond within ten (10) days after the contract may have been awarded to him. A 100% payment and 100% performance bond in the amount of the contract, with satisfactory surety, for faithfully doing the work will be required. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with M.G.L. c. 149, SS44A-44J, as most recently amended, and all other applicable laws. Bids are subject to Prevailing Wage Rates as required by MGL c. 149, SS 26 to 27H. Copies are bound in this Project Manual. All questions as to the interpretation of the Drawings and Specifications made before the bids are submitted shall be addressed in writing to the mentioned contact before 5:00pm March 5, 2024 for General Bids. The City of Taunton reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
