Provide design services and carry out work to -
1. Replace the existing timber decking
2. Replace the existing post and railings with 8"x 8" and include a steel w beam. 3. Replace the paving on the deck as weather allows; completed by 1 October 2024
4. Work to commence after 2023 harvest and be completed by 1 April 2024. Contractor responsibilities
1. MUST provide a detailed description of how the job will be done, the machinery that will be used and the estimated completion date.
2. Specify the quality of the timber to be used for the decking and railings
3. Supply required signage
4. Utility locates
5. Prime Contractor to provide evidence of $5 million in Commercial General Liability and $2 million in Errors and Omissions Liability insurance.
6. Comply with applicable Workplace Health and Safety Act and regulations
7. Contractor to indemnity and save harmless the Municipality from and against all claims for damages arising from any lack of precaution or act of negligence on the part of the contractor, sub- contractor or their employees.
8. The Municipality and the contractor acknowledge and agree that the contractor is the 'Prime Contractor' as that term is defined in the Workplace Health and Safety Act (Manitoba) for all purposes of that Act and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, it is further acknowledged and agreed that as the Prime Contractor, the contractor is solely and completely responsible and liable for and in respect of all obligations, requirements and duties imposed on the Prime Contractor in the Act.
9. Contractor (and/or sub-contractor) must be registered and in good standing with Workers Compensation Board and provide proof of registration and COR safety certificate number.
