As of January 23, 2024, a design firm has been selected for the project. Design is expected to move forward after approval. Construction is not expected to start prior to 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The 2 existing chillers at HBH are in constant need of maintenance to stay functional. They are close to end of useful life and in need of replacement. Recommendations on the sizing of the replacements will be required. There is also an existing equipment room housing 2 chiller pumps and associated equipment. This room is in a state of decay due to suspected moisture issues. Equipment and structure are rusting terribly. An assessment into why this is happening and how to prevent it will be in project scope. Full renovation of the space will also be included. The scope of this project will include the following: Replace 2 existing Chillers and all associated components, pumps, VFD's, etc. Recommendations on whether to size up or remain the same Study to determine cause of chiller equipment room decay and how to prevent Full renovation of equipment room, including structural components. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth& Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement.
