Saving Project...

Site work for a mixed-use development in Regina, Saskatchewan. Design plans call for site work for a service station / car wash facility.

Construction of battery electric bus charging infrastructure into the existing Transit Operations Centre (TOC) located at 333 Winnipeg St. This will include an electrical substation, switchgear and transformer electrical rooms, charging cabinets, pantographs, battery management systems, potential natural gas generators, potential battery back-up systems, and more. Other required improvements include the existing roof, HVAC systems and structural components, along with relocating the south employee parking lot. An emergency power strategy and design for both the entire facility and the charging infrastructure will be required. TIMELINE: Request for proposals for design and engineering consultant services has been awarded. The consultant will provide design services in 2023 leading to a construction tender in 2024, and provide construction contract administration and field services during a 2-year construction window, wrapping up in a warranty period. There's a possibility that this design contract may merge into a contract management resulting in no other construction tender. Further project details and schedules may be confirmed in early 2024. *Total construction cost for the new infrastructure is $22M. *Method of delivery may be design-bid-build model or a construction management approach, both with multiple procurement packages.
