The work under this Project manual consists of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, accessories, and all operations required to carry out the work described in each Specification Section and as shown on the Contract Drawings. Work includes such minor details not specifically mentioned or shown, but necessary to complete the work to the satisfaction of the Owner and Engineer. All work shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. B. All work under this Project Manual shall be done in accordance with the best modern practice, using appropriate tools, equipment and material required to make systems ready for successful operational service. C. All workers involved in the fabrication or installation of any and all work, both rough in and finish shall be by qualified journeyman in the particular trade involved, or be working with and under directed supervision of a qualified journeyman. General laborers shall not be used for this work if not working with a qualified journeyman. D. Drawings accompanying the Project Manual are intended to indicate the approximate and relative locations of services and equipment. Verification of all dimensions is the Contractors responsibility. E. Install all systems according to the manufacturers installation instructions and recommendations. Where these differ from the Contract Documents, contact the Engineer immediately for direction. F. In specifying particular materials and/or methods, the intent is to indicate the minimum standard of quality acceptable to the Owner. If a case occurs where Contract Documents do not meet the minimum standards of existing federal, state or local code regulations and requirements, then, those governing codes, regulations and requirements shall prevail. G. The word "provide" shall mean furnish and install. The words "as required" shall mean as needed to provide a complete and satisfactorily operating system complying with all governing codes and the intent of the project Contract Documents. The word "indicated" shall mean as shown or noted on the Contract Drawings. Project work consists of but is not limited to the following: Installation of steam and condensate piping at the Memorial Village 1 (MV1) and Fritz Pollard Addition. Each bid proposal shall be made out on the form contained in the project specifications and uploaded in the response. In the bid bond response, the bidder must include a bid bond executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in the State of North Dakota in an amount not less than 5% of the bid amount. Pre-Bid Meeting. No Pre-Bid meeting will be held. Performance and Payment Bond and Waiver of Subrogation. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities therein and rebid the project until a satisfactory bid is received.
