The first project is to place a single row of concrete ecology blocks with a four (4) foot tall chain link fence at the top of the ecology blocks along the South property line of Valley Transit's (VT) Main Facility to protect the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling station. The second project is to install a six (6) foot tall security fence and gates around the perimeter of the Valley Transit (VT) Main Facility. And lastly replace the existing ADA curb ramp with a new ADA compliant curb ramp at the main entrance to VT. This bid will also include the replacement of the existing Americans with Disabilities Act curb ramp with a new ramp which meets the current requirements of the ADA. Physical work shall not begin until critical materials have been delivered on-site, so that work will occur continuously once started. Provide 1 year installation and product warranty. Construction must not interfere with the daily operations of Valley Transit. Concrete ecology Block specifications: Concrete ecology blocks must be in new condition using minimum 5,000 psi concrete, measuring 2' tall x 2' deep x 6' long. Valley Transit has chosen this specification, however, bidders are encouraged to submit a request for clarification/equals if in their professional opinion another sizing option would better serve Valley Transit. Blocks must have decorative finish on both face sides that are visible when installed, decorative finish to be chosen by Valley Transit at time of contractor placing the order or at the preconstruction meeting. Top of the blocks shall be flat except for a maximum of one (1) recessed lifting loop in the center of the block. All ecology blocks to be interlocking at both ends except the first and last block in line which will only be interlocking on one (1) end. Concrete Ecology Block installation: Removal and disposing of the existing red lava rock, filter fabric and split rail wood fencing. Create a gravel base for the concrete ecology blocks that meets standard compaction base requirements without excavation of existing soil. Install 1 %" minus gravel where red lava rock was removed and apply ground sterilant to all newly placed gravel. Base Preparation and Material: Gravel base shall be %" minus gravel compacted to create an adequate base to support one (1) row of 2 ft. x 2 ft. x 6 ft. concrete ecology blocks with 4' high chain link fence attached to the top of the blocks.
