Site work for a water / sewer project in Glendale, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Glendale is seeking a qualified construction manager/general contractor to provide design phase assistance and construction services as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for sewer line improvements in various locations near downtown Glendale and Grand Avenue. The current budget for this project is approximately $15M. Construction is anticipated to start February 2024 and be completed before the end of 2026. Interested contractors must have the ability to show experience and a proven track record in projects of the same nature and magnitude. All qualified firms interested in providing the required services are invited to submit their qualifications. Responses must comply with the requirements specified in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ). PROJECT DESCRIPTION The City's wastewater collection system is comprised of two water reclamation plants, approximately 700 miles of sewer pipe, and 14,400 manholes and cleanouts. This project is for the rehabilitation of approximately 12,000 L.F. of existing 8-inch to 20-inch sewer lines, at various locations in Glendale. The work includes installing cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) liner in existing sewer pipe, the replacement of defective pipe, and the repair and coating of existing manholes. SCOPE OF WORK The selected Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) will provide pre-construction and construction services. The CMAR will work closely with the city and city's design professional and will be an integral part of the project team during all phases of this project. The CMAR begins with the firm in an agency support role for pre-construction services. At some point prior to construction, the CMAR will assume the risk of delivering the project through a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) contract. The CMAR will also be responsible for construction means and methods. Questions pertaining to the RFQ, or selection process should be directed in writing to the Engineering Department, City of Glendale, 5850 West Glendale Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301, or by email to EngineeringDept@glendaleaz.com.
