Fairfax County is soliciting pre-bid qualification applications for the construction of a stormwater conveyance improvement project, located in Fairfax County's Dranesville District near 6602 Tucker Ave., McLean, VA 22101. Only firms that have been prequalified in accordance with the procedures in the Pre-qualification Application will be eligible to submit bids for this project. Construction bids for this project are scheduled to be received in Fall 2023. Bids received from those who have not been pre-qualified will not be considered. The Tucker Avenue Neighborhood Stormwater Improvement project will improve stormwater drainage conditions and infrastructure, reduce localized flooding and erosion, improve water quality, and protect the adjacent Pimmit Run Stream. Work includes, but is not limited to: installation of ~6,260 LF of storm sewer, ~48 stormwater management underground chambers, swale, and bioretention; installation of ~1,344 LF of sanitary sewer with ~15 lateral connections; utility relocations including ~1,240 LF of water line with ~49 service connections and ~48 gas service connections; site rehabilitation including ~10,500 SF of pavement trench patching and milling and overlay, ~6,320 LF of curb and gutter, and ~2,800 herbaceous plantings and trees. All questions concerning this Pre-qualification Application procedure shall be submitted in writing to the Director, Utilities Design & Construction Division, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Suite 463, Fairfax, VA 22035-0056 or by emailing DPWESCAPUDCDStormwaterinquiry@fairfaxcounty.gov, and to be given consideration, such requests must be received at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the advertised deadline for submittal of the Pre-qualification Application. The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all Applications, and to waive informalities and irregularities in the Pre-qualification Application procedure.
