Site work for a water / sewer project in Parsippany, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Bids must be received by the Office of the Director of Purchasing on or before the time and date of the bid opening. No bids will be accepted after said hour. Bids sent through the US Postal Service or other delivery service is done so at the bidder's own risk. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE ORIGINAL. FACSIMILE OR PHOTOCOPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. This project includes the following upgrades: Base Bid: I. Redevelopment of Well 18; Replacement of Vertical Line Shaft Motor; Refurbish Discharge Head; Replacement Stuffing Box, Vertical Line Shaft Pump Bowl Assembly, Line Shafts and Spiders; Replacement T&C Column Pipe, Airline, Water-level Access Drop Pipe(s), and Water-Level Direct Read Gauge; Replacement of one (1) 8-inch Pump Control Valve, one (1) 4-inch Surge Relief/Pressure Relief Valve, one (1) 2-inch Combination Air-Release/Vacuum Valve, two (2) 8-inch Gate Valves, and one (1) 4-inch Gate Valve; and Replace one (1) wellhead baseplate. II. Redevelopment of Well 19; Replacement of Vertical Line Shaft Motor; Refurbish Discharge Head; Replacement Stuffing Box, Vertical Line Shaft Pump Bowl Assembly, Line Shafts and Spiders; Replacement T&C Column Pipe, Airline, Water-level Access Drop Pipe(s), and Water-Level Direct Read Gauge; Replacement of one (1) 4-inch Surge Relief/Pressure Relief Valve, one (1) 8-inch Gate Valve, one (1) 6-inch Gate Valve, and one (1) 4-inch diameter Gate Valve; and Replace one (1) wellhead baseplate. Bids or proposals shall be made on the forms provided. Please note due to Covid-19 the Municipal Building, where the Purchasing Office is located, may be locked to the general public. There are six (6) entrance doors to the building. Each door will have a sign containing the bid information, the number of the door (#'s 1 thru 6) and two Purchasing Office phone numbers (973-263-4281 & 973-263-4377). Anyone wishing to pick up plans and specs should call either phone number listed here, identify which numbered door you are at and someone from the Purchasing Office will come to that door and assist you. The fee for the Plans and Specifications is $75.00 per set. Checks are to be made payable to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills. Please Note: Deposit checks/cash are not refundable. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, must be deposited by the bidder together with a Certificate of Surety evidencing that he can obtain the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract. The successful bidder shall be required to deliver to the Township an executed Performance Bond of the responsible indemnity company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. In lieu of a Certificate of Surety, the bidder may submit, at the bid opening, a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the bid. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq and N.J.A.C. 17:27. In addition bidders must also comply with the following New Jersey Statutes: Section 1 of P.L.1977, c.33 Statement of Ownership (N.J.S.A. C.52:25-24.2) N.J.S.A. 40A:11-18 American Goods and Products to be Used Where Possible Section 21 of P.L.1971, c.198 Guarantee to be Furnished with Bid (N.J.S.A. C.40A:11-21) Section 22 of P.L.1971, c.198 Surety Company Certificate (N.J.S.A. C.40A:11-22) Section 16 of P.L.1971, c.198 Listing of Subcontractors (N.J.S.A. C.40A:11-16) Section 1 of P.L.2001, c.134 Business Registration (N.J.S.A. C.52:32-44) N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq N.J. Prevailing Wage Act All Bidders and their Subcontractors must comply with the requirements of the New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Section 017300, 1.3 of the specifications, indicates that this base bid work shall be completed within 90 calendar days of the date the contract is signed. Each supplemental bid item awarded, shall increase substantial completion date by 14 days. Bid proposals must be placed in sealed envelopes addressed to the Office of Purchasing, Township of Parsippany Troy Hills, 1001 Parsippany Boulevard, Parsippany, New Jersey 07054 and marked plainly on the outside with the bid description and the name and address of the bidder marked clearly on the outside of the envelope. The Township of Parsippany Troy Hills reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the proposal received and to accept the bid which is in the best interests of the Township. The Township further reserves the right to consider all bids for sixty (60) days after the bid opening before awarding a contract.
