Street Excavation/Utility/Drainage/Paving & Concrete Work Town of Luray The Town of Luray is soliciting proposals for the continuation of its Main Street Utility Improvement Project. This project (Phase 3) includes streetlight circuit upgrades, a concrete entrance overlay with asphalt, and storm drainage improvements. Phase 3 encompasses East Main Street between Broad Street and the RR tracks. To be considered, contractors need to have a valid DPOR License commensurate with the project type and value, have relevant, documented experience in completing such work, and have the necessary labor force and equipment to accomplish the scope of work specified. Working closely with adjacent businesses and residents on a daily basis will be a critical component of the job. Daily coordination with SVEC, our project partner, will be required. Adherence to worker safety needs and the ability to safely work in and around parked vehicles, moving vehicular & pedestrian traffic will be crucial to the overall project success. VDOT Work Zone standards will apply for 100% of the project. Business access and pedestrian walking access are crucial. Copies of licenses and insurance certificates will be required of the selected contractor. A Performance Bond may be required. The selected contractor will work with the Town to acquire the needed bulk materials through Town accounts (pipe, fittings, gravel, concrete, etc.).
