Work includes control of existing wastewater flow, cleaning of the pipelines, and structures using high pressure water jets, mechanical cleaning equipment or other means as may be required, remote obstruction removal, internal TV and Sonar inspection of wastewater collection system pipelines, siphon, and transportation and disposal of waste materials generated by the cleaning process. Designated manholes and siphon box structures will also be cleaned and inspected as a function of the pipeline cleaning process. In addition to cleaning and inspecting the sewer infrastructure, the Vendor is required to conduct reverse setups as necessary for cleaning and inspection, submit map corrections, and establish traffic control as necessary to accomplish the work, Vendor shall coordinate with plant staff and adjacent property owners when necessary. All work shall be performed in accordance with these specifications about quality, workmanship, hardcopy and electronic deliverables, and schedule. All materials to be used for work will be submitted to SAWS staff for approval prior to use and only changed after review and approval from SAWS staff and approval to change has been received. To ensure the ability to respond immediately to spills, if any, all trucks shall always carry appropriate amounts of absorptive material and liquid chlorine solution. Appropriate SAWS staff is to be promptly notified of any spills. Spills shall be immediately cleaned at the Vendors expense. Any property damaged shall be promptly reported to SAWS staff and immediately repaired at no cost to SAWS.

Any oral responses provided by SAWS staff at the Pre-Submittal Conference shall be preliminary. A written summary of the Pre-Submittal Conference shall contain official responses, if any. Any oral response given at the Pre-Submittal Conference that is not confirmed in the written summary of the Pre-Submittal Conference or by a subsequent addendum shall not be official or binding on SAWS. Only written responses shall be official and all other forms of communication with any officer, employee or agent of SAWS shall not be binding on SAWS.
