The Newell Regional Solid Waste Management Authority Ltd. ("the Owner") requests a tender to complete the construction of Landfill Entrance Upgrades at the existing Newell Regional Landfill. The work is located at Unnamed Road, Duchess, AB T0J 0Z0 approximately 1.4 km north of Highway 1 - Trans-Canada Highway along Provincial Highway 36. Tenders will be received at the office of the Engineer as per the Instruction to Tenderers. Drawings and Specifications are included within this package. The Work to be undertaken generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization of equipment to site, including construction of haul roads, site safety, and all other temporary works and facilities. Demolition and removal of light posts, conduits, current scale, and existing scale foundations. Construction of the two scale foundations. Construction of the new building foundation. Installation of the two scales. Installation of the new building. Construction of ramps leading to the scales. Expansion of road structure. Installation of water and sanitary system. Installation of weeping tile drain system. Installation of the guardrails and decking to connect the new building to scale deck. Upgrading utility service to meet demand of new scales and building. Surveying, as required for the completion of all portions of the Work, which must include a detailed as-built geodetic survey of the entire Work area and all the Work performed.
