Reference Number 0000255331 The TTC Representative will identify and assign specific segments that require tree pruning (trimming) for the Vendor to complete. The Vendor will proceed to complete the tasks as assigned and report back to the TTC Representative daily. A segment is a stretch of road, between 2 intersections where tree trimming requirement has been pre-identified by TTC. The expectation is for the contractor to trim each location and segment according to a five (5) year growth period, keeping into account ‘good arboricultural practices and Tree pruning guidelines Contract Term: 3 Years The Scope of Work shall consist of 40hrs per week of arboricultural services at various TTC locations. Primarily, the Vendor will be required to prune tree branches that are encroaching upon TTC streetcar lines (Overhead Contact Wire - OCW). This includes Contact wire, Feeder cable, guy wires and suspension wire (refer to attached document 'Tree trimming around OCS Requirements The TTC Representative will identify and assign specific segments that require tree pruning (trimming) for the Vendor to complete. The Vendor will proceed to complete the tasks as assigned and report back to the TTC Representative daily. A segment is a stretch of road, between 2 intersections where tree trimming requirement has been pre-identified by TTC. The expectation is for the contractor to trim each location and segment according to a five (5) year growth period, keeping into account good arboricultural practices' and 'Tree pruning guidelines provided by the City of Toronto in Appendix D. Once the segment is completed, contractor will notify TTC representative to initiate a site audit (walkdown), after which, payment will be processed. Any deficiencies identified by TTC during the audit is expected to be corrected by the contractor within 5 business days at no additional cost to TTC. TTC may request the contractor to temporarily deviate from a planned segment and attend to emergency tree trimming at another location. The emergency tree trimming may range from one to a few trees, depending on the situation. This work will be charged under Time & Material basis. Expectation is for the contract to respond to these emergency situations within 24hrs. The City of Torontos guidelines, applicable laws must be followed. The Vendor shall be responsible for all costs, including labour, equipment, and all materials. The Vendor shall ensure that they have sufficient equipment and staff to perform the Work described in this Scope of Work. If any service identified in the Contract is not delivered within the guidelines set out in the Contract, the TTC reserves the right at its sole discretion, to purchase, rent, or lease services from third - party companies or to complete the work using TTC staff. Any resulting work not performed by the Vendor will result in a loss of payment with the cost charged back to the Vendor. The Vendor may source other companies in order to provide the required services at no additional cost to the TTC. Parking of vehicles at the end of the day will be at the cost and responsibility of the vendor.
