With a population of approximately 110,000 residents and rapidly growing, the City is experiencing a transition from a rural community to a suburban community. This rapid growth is challenging the City's existing infrastructure which require upgrades and reconstruction to meet the demands of its growing population for the years to come. The City completed a Master Drainage Plan (MDP) in 2021. The MDP revealed many areas of the City where existing drainage systems are deficient and subject to inundation during mild to moderate rain storm events. The MDP provided recommendations and prioritized certain projects for addressing these deficiencies. One of these areas is located on Garbani Road adjacent to Menifee Valley Middle School. An existing Arizona crossing structure conveys stormwater across the roadway to an existing watercourse downstream. The area is subject to flooding and presents a hazard and barrier to children walking to school. The City of Menifee (City) has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit responses from professional engineering firms to provide comprehensive design services for the Garbani Road Drainage Improvements project, CIP 25-09.
