Harmony Public Schools ("HPS") is seeking competitive sealed proposals from qualified offerors to provide construction services for a construction project at "Harmony School of Excellence - Dallas". The project scope of work consists of repair of existing retaining walls and paving in response to paving washout and retaining wall failures due to deteriorating soil conditions at an active school site. Construction scope consists of but is not limited to demolition of pavement in preparation for re-grading, demolition of retaining walls in preparation for reconstruction, new guardrails, new paving, new stormwater management inlets, new retaining walls, and other related work as specified in the project documents n(#HPS2023_HSE Dallas_Retaining Wall Reconstruction). The building is to remain operational throughout the entire construction. G.C. to maintain access and reduced parking. The G.C. is to coordinate with the Owner and the City regarding all phasing. Liquidated Damages: Time is of the essence regarding the performance of all Work. If the Contractor fails to achieve Substantial Completion on or before January 3, 2025 with phased milestones, Contractor shall pay to the Owner, as liquidated damages, $1000 per day for each calendar day that Substantial Completion is delayed thereafter.
