Closing Time: 10:00 PM (NT) Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/09/11 10:00:00 AM NDT The intent of this Open Call is to obtain a contractor to provide scaffolding services for Memorial University. The scaffolding to be erected will be used for the purpose of repairs, testing, inspection, or replacement of Memorial University equipment. Completion of projects within the estimated time period is critical. The Scope of Work shall include, but not limited to, furnishing of all supervision, labour, materials, tools, supplies, consumables, and equipment necessary to receive, unload, relocate, erect, test, remove, and perform any other associated operations for all material, structures, equipment, and accessories as described herein. Each item of work shall be requested on a Work Order describing the scope of work issued by a University's Representative. If further information is required by the Contractor regarding any Work Order, he/she should contact the assigned University's Representative. If the Contractor should become aware of any apparent error or omission within the Scope of Work as was described he/she shall request clarification from the University's Representative. The Contractor shall, when requested, provide detailed sketches and recommendations as to the manner they proposes to carry out the work and shall not commence the work until approval has been received from the University's Representative. All materials shall conform to all applicable codes, by-laws or other relevant standards. Materials shall mean only expendable items used to construct the work described on the work orders issued by the University's Representative and not items such as tools, equipment and other items listed in the specifications. All materials must be new and of good quality. Materials supplied for replacement of defective materials shall be of the same type and quality and have identical operating characteristics as the original material. Where this is not possible, the approval of the University's Representative shall be obtained. The quality of material for new work must be approved by the University's Representative before purchase by the Contractor to ensure that the items are compatible with the requirements for the building. In some instances, material will be supplied by the University. The University shall inspect materials and equipment removed from existing building installations and recommend to the contractor those items he/she feels can be reused. The University's Representative will instruct the Contractor whether to dispose of the items or store same in the building for future use.
