Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lee, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a security or bond in the amount of 5% of the bid price. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% performance bond for the described work. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays after the bid opening date. Wage rates are subject to the minimum wage rate as per M.G.L. CH. 149 section 26 to 27F inclusive. The Minority Employee Percentage Rate to be applied to this project will be no less than 5% in each class. The Town of Lee is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer. The Select Board reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Lee. Resurfacing shall include placement of 1.5" wearing course (overlay) over an emulsified tack-coat MassDOT Type I, Table "B" mix with minimum 6% asphalt bitumen content shall be installed. All materials and installation are to be performed in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's latest Specifications for Highways and Bridges unless otherwise noted. Bid prices shall include all labor, equipment, and material for a complete in place product. Only those bidders who provide proof of their capacity to meet MassDOT Certification requirements will be allowed to receive Bid Proposal Packages for purposes of bidding on this project.
