Completed plans call for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for the construction of a 8,456-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; 4,662-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

As of April 9, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Bid Item #1: Multipurpose Building: Construction of a one story multipurpose building & exterior observation deck. Also includes demo, & construction of all temporary erosion and sediment control measures, water well, treatment, storage, and distribution systems, sanitary sewerage & septic system, underground electrical & telecommunications conduits & associated wiring, propane storage & distribution systems, landscaping including all trees, plants, grasses, & boulder retaining walls, gravel pathways & stone stairs, bike racks & bike parking area, flagpole, & site furniture. #2: Entrance Road and Maintenance Road: construction of the asphalt entrance road, gravel maintenance road, & all associated improvements required to construct these roads. Also includes constructing the refuge entry monument sign, electronic swing access gates, trailhead parking lot & sidewalk, and adjacent gravel shoulders, curbs & gutters, stormwater management systems, signage, & overhead lighting #3: Visitor Parking Area: asphalt visitor parking area & all associated improvements required to construct the parking area. Also includes constructing the headquarters sign, and the adjacent concrete ADA parking stalls, curbs & gutters, stormwater management systems, sidewalks, signage, overhead lighting, & an electric vehicle charging station The work includes but is not limited to construction of a one story multipurpose building and exterior observation deck.
