Sewer Manhole Improvements The work includes, but is not limited to, sewer manhole rehabilitation, including replacement and resetting of frames and covers. The Contract Time shall be 90 Calendar Days commencing twenty days following the Effective Date of the Agreement. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of ninety days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those tradespeople who may be employed for the proposed work under this Contract. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised.
