Contractor shall perform semi-annual inspections and manufacturer recommended maintenance services for the
UPS systems noted. The scope of the services and inspections shall be in strict accordance with the manufacturers
specifications and recommended maintenance services. All costs associated with these services, including trip fees,
must be included in bid pricing. The services and inspections include, but are not limited to, the following items:
o Check the exterior and interior for damage.
o Check all batteries to verify each battery is within manufacturers specifications.
o Verify status panel functionality and calibrate panel if necessary.
o Check ambient temperature, exhaust for operation, replace air filters and verify air flow.
o Verify connection integrity; check all control wiring and accessible power cables.
o Check battery cables, connections, posts and verify PC board calibration and operation.
o Check all system voltages, currents, and sub assembly operation (rectifier, inverter, static switch).
o Forward and reverse XFER.
o Verify modes of operation: online, on battery, on bypass, etc.
o Verify operation of EPO/REPO.
o Check alarm interface and maintenance bypass sequence.
o Verify personalization and calibration of all programmable UPS parameters.
o Any additional manufacturer recommended service items. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is seeking contractors capable of providing uninterruptable power supply (UPS) maintenance services. The three (3) year maximum contract period consists of a one (1) year initial term plus two (2) additional one (1) year options to extend. The State may cancel this solicitation in whole or in part. The State may reject any or all proposals in whole or in part.
