Site work and paving for a civil project in Glen Rock, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

As of 1/10/24, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Project consists of a Base Bid which includes the resetting of approximately 110 square yards of existing concrete pavers. The project also includes the complete installation of electrical equipment including 2 post top lights with related landscaping and power washing and sealing of 290 SY of existing concrete pavers. An alternate to the bid of the complete removal, disposal and replacement of approximately 290 square yards of concrete pavers All work on this contract must be completed within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed but no later than 15th day, April 2024. Contract documents and drawings for the proposed work (the Contract Documents, which have been prepared by Edward Snieckus Jr., of the firm Burgis Associates Inc., 25 Westwood Avenue, Westwood NJ, 07675, and Accurate Engineering Associates, Joseph Scaltro, PE 728 Layfayette Street Paramus NJ 07652 and are available electronically or via delivery by common carrier by making a request to es@burgis.com and kc@burgis.com and will be on file at the below date in the Borough of Glen Rock, 1 Harding Plaza, Glen Rock, New Jersey 07626. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Contract Documents by request upon proper notice to the above e-mail addresses. In the e-mail message, the contractor shall indicate if they request an electronic copy (PDF format) or paper copy. Electronic copies will be provided via e-mail at no charge. Paper copies will be provided after a non-refundable charge of $125.00 payable to Burgis Associates Inc. is received. Send payment to 25 Westwood Avenue, Westwood, New Jersey, 07675. Paper copies will be sent via UPS or Fedex if the contractor provides UPS or Fedex account information to defray the cost of this shipping method. Otherwise, paper copies will be sent via USPS. The Contract Documents will be available during business hours beginning on 8th day, December, 2023. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal forms included with the Contract Documents in the manner designated in the Contract Documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the Borough of Glen Rock, and must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Owner and either a bid bond or a certified check drawn to the order of Borough of Glen Rock for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been obtained by the Owner in a lawful manner. Proposals for this contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. All documents must be original and no facsimile or photocopies of said original are acceptable. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner, except as to those items which are deemed mandatory and nonwaivable set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2. Further, the Owner reserves the right to abandon the project and reject the bids entirely if any legal or state or federal administrative action is taken against the Owner which could delay or jeopardize the project from commencing. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, which include but are not limited to the affirmative action requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. In addition, Bidders must also comply with the following New Jersey Statues: P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 (Statement of Ownership) N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-18(American Goods and Products to be Used Where Possible) N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act) Bidders will be required to comply with the public disclosure provisions of N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2.
