Site work for a water / sewer project in San Marcos, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The District owns and operates the Deodar Reservoir, located at 947 Deodar Road, San Marcos, CA 92069. Deodar Reservoir is an existing, partially buried, prestressed concrete, Type 1 tank with a central reinforced concrete column supporting a timber framed roof structure with corrugated metal roof decking; the existing roof contains an access hatch with hand rails and ventilator. The tank has an inside diameter of 86 feet, has prestressed concrete walls 31 feet high, and has a nominal capacity of 1.3 million gallons. The reservoir serves approximately 1,100 customers in the Bennet area of the District’s service area. The Deodar Reservoir Rehabilitation Project will construct and commission several rehabilitated items to improve security, serviceability and operational reliability. The Project will demolish the existing reservoir roof and column and construct a new and fully self-supporting, low-rise aluminum geodesic dome roof with several appurtenances. Construction of the roof facilities will require careful coordination with the other elements of the Project and schedule as there are strict requirements as to when the reservoir can be taken out of service.
