Renovation of a mixed-use development in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project 22-001: upgrades and alterations to École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS) facilities for the development of 2nd phase of HPC (high power calculators) Centre in D pavilion. The scope of the project includes the second phase of development of a high performance computing centre located at ÉTS and provides for installation and connection of a second 25 kV switch, transformer and the switchboard that will allow some redundancy in the power supply and modification in the UPS. The project also includes installation and connection of the missing in-row cooling units in order to obtain the total capacity of 1 MW targeted in server capacity in the HA section, installation of four groups of additional pumps and exchangers and their connection in the existing mechanical room to allow the planned additional cooling. The completion of the project will increase the admissible load of IT equipment by 3 MW for a total of 5 MW. TIMELINE: Working drawings are complete. The owner has issued a tender for the general contractor that is now followed in the report under CRM ID name 22-001 ETS, HPC Centre Phase II. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
