Paving and renovation of a road / highway in Lafayette, Louisiana. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

As of Ocotber 23, 2024, this project has been cancelled. The project is anticipated to include the construction of a new roundabout intersection at S. Domingue Avenue; converting an existing single lane roundabout into a multilane at Rue du Belier; and converting the existing stop control intersection at Lagneaux Road to a signalized intersection with turn lanes. The work will include, but may not be limited to, roadway work and associated drainage improvements, pavement repair, temporary traffic control (including temporary drainage and pavement), excavation, embankment, clearing and grubbing of the site/area, and temporary and permanent signing and striping. The contractor will be responsible for disposing of all non-salvageable materials offsite, maintaining through traffic and providing access of adjacent roadways and drives at all times through construction; and other work incidental to the project. While the design of the project will be inclusive of the entire work, the construction of this project will be constructed in phases/sequences and it is anticipated that the initial phase will be constructed within the current allotted funding of $12.5 Million. The remaining phase(s) will be completed as additional funding is provided. The exact scope for each of the phases will be determined during the CMAR process. All of the foregoing is collectively referred to herein as the "Project". LCG's budget and opinion of probable cost for the work associated with all phases of the Project (CMAR Contractor pre-construction services, construction cost and traffic equipment, etc.) is $20,000,000 to $22,000,000 Dollars. Phase 1 (construction portion only) is completely funded at this time and is expected to costs $12.5 Million Dollars. It is expected that construction of the remainder of the project will proceed as funding is received. Land costs, surveying, property acquisition and engineering fees are extra and will be paid for outside the CMAR process. Interested contractors, their consultants, sub-consultants, or other parties representing the proposed team for this Project shall not attempt to directly contact and/or influence any member of the Selection Review Committee, Lafayette City or Parish Council members, Lafayette Mayor-President, or other senior management associated with this Project, with the exception of the RFQ Coordinator, after receipt of this RFQ, and prior to contract award. Doing so will be grounds for disqualification. LCG reserves the right to reject any or all Qualifications Statements submitted in response to this RFQ. Respondents shall be licensed to perform the requested work under either "Highway, Street and Bridge Construction" or "Heavy Construction" *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
