Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Dyersville, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Construction of twin 12' x 5' reinforced concrete box culvert on future extension of Industrial Parkway SW in City of Dyersville, Delaware County, Iowa. Primary work includes class 20 excavation, option 1 cast in place or option 2 precast culvert, and revetment. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8 and as specified by the City of Dyersville, Iowa. The bid security shall be 10% of the total amount of the bid. Work on the improvement shall commence on or before the date specified in the written "Notice to Proceed" and shall be fully completed and ready for acceptance by June 14, 2024. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each day that the work shall remain uncompleted after the end of the contract period, with due allowance for extension of contract period due to conditions beyond the control of the Contractor, as approved by the City Council. The City of Dyersville hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Award of contract will be based on the lowest responsive responsible bid received for either Option.
