Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Aviston, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; for the addition of a 13,411-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and educational facility.

Construct new slab on grade addition consisting of new cafeteria and classroom space. New addition to be constructed with structural steel, metal framing, masonry veneer, EPDM roofing, sheet metal, aluminum windows and storefronts, food service equipment, fire sprinkler, plumbing , HVAC, and electric. Interior construction to consist of metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, terrazzo and resilient flooring. Work includes new storm sewer, grading , structural concrete and slab on grade. Project also includes an alternate for additional classroom space, Administration area and renovation of existing elementary/administration office. Bids will be based on multiple Bid Packages. See section 01 10 00 Project Summary-Bid Packages for specific inclusion and responsibility. In general, the work may be described as follows: Bid Package No. 01 - General Trades Bid Package No. 02 - Masonry Bid Package No. 03 - Structural Steel Bid Package No. 04 - Roofing Bid Package No. 05 - Drywall Bid Package No. 06 - Flooring Bid Package No. 07 - Food Service Equipment Bid Package No. 08 - Fire Sprinkler Bid Package No. 09 - Plumbing Bid Package No. 10 - HVAC Bid Package No. 11 - Electrical Bid Package No. 12 - Sitework and Utilities Bidders will be required to provide Bid Security of a sum no less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid Sum. The bid security shall be a certified check, cashiers check, bank money order or bid bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Hereinafter this bid security shall be referred to as the bid bond. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act for Clinton County, IL. Do not include sales taxes in the bids, as the School District is sales tax exempt. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner.
