The County of McHenry's Division of Transportation is looking to attain the services for tree trimming and removal, subject to continuing need and availability of funds. The Contractor will respond to specific requests for tree work from the County and must receive authorization for additional work that may come to the Contractor's attention that was not requested by the County. Throughout the term of the contract, it may become necessary for the Contractor to assist the County in providing emergency tree service. The Contractor shall provide emergency assistance in the manner as set forth by the County. This is a multi-year contract. Years 1-2, from December 1, 2023, through November 30, 2025, Year 3, Optional, from December 1, 2025, through November 30, 2026, and Year 4, Optional, from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027. All eligible proposed contractors shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience maintaining commercial and/or municipal sites of equal or greater size and of similar contract maintenance specifications. September 14, 2023 - Addendum posted to this page no later than 4:00PM CST Bid Security shall be in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid except for the Division of Transportation, which should be at least five percent (5%). Facsimile or digital copy acceptable with submission. Original required upon award. Payment and Performance Bond must be in the amount of 110% of the bid value. Any additional scope value during the project must be covered by the bonds. The County of McHenry reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this Bid or Request, to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities or to accept an alternate proposal. The County will be the sole judge of acceptability of any product or service offered. The County reserves the right to waive any immaterial defect in any proposal. Unless otherwise specified by the offeror, the County has no less than one hundred and twenty (120) days to accept. The County may seek clarification from a contractor at any time and failure to respond promptly is cause for rejection. The County may require submission of best and final offers.
