Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Morgantown, West Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

The City of Morgantown requests statements of qualifications from architecture and engineering firms to provide professional services for design, bidding and Construction Administration and Construction Inspection services in connection with the Woodburn Community Complex Renovation The Consultant will comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (P.L. 88-352), as amended, and all applicable Federal and State Civil Rights statutes. The City welcomes statements of qualifications from small, minority, and/or female-owned firms and individual minority and female professionals. Attention is called to the fact that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin. The City of Morgantown, WV requests statements of qualifications for professional architectural and engineering services for the design, bidding and Construction Administration and Construction Inspection services in connection with the Woodburn Community Complex Renovation. This project is expected to begin construction Spring of 2024. A portion of the building is expected to be occupied during construction. The Woodburn Community Complex was originally constructed in 1910 as Woodburn Elementary School. It currently serves as a leased space for community services and businesses in the heart of the Woodburn Neighborhood. Several major renovation projects have already been completed including improvements to creation of an entrance foyer, addition of an elevator, creation of additional restrooms, minor repointing, and other accessibility focused work. Phase 2 of renovations anticipated to be design and completed under this project includes: evaluation/improvement of building envelope (brickwork and windows), HVAC replacement, roof access and roof repairs, restroom reconfiguration, reinstallation of a secondary means of egress, cosmetic repairs, flooring replacement, and entryway canopies structural evaluation and repairs/replacement.
