The ministry requires some shrub/tree removal and earthmoving works to level a field for pivot irrigation operation. The purpose of this contract is to competitively tender the opportunity to complete the earthworks portion of the pivot installation project. There are known Archaeological sites both within and near the hayfield. The best option is to avoid earth moving works in these sites. If the sites cannot be avoided, it is imperative that the necessary permits are obtained prior to any earth moving works occurring. As the balance of the area has high archaeological potential, it is also important to watch for potential artifacts and follow the Chance Find Procedure if any artifacts are located. Please be aware of your obligations under the Heritage Conservation Act. Estimated Contract Duration (in months) 7
