Site work for a water / sewer project in Sugar Creek, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Independence, Missouri invites bids from firms to provide for, but not limited to, all equipment, materials, workmanship, and labor required for the proper removal of existing (6) Lime Bin Lime Lines, and reinstallation of (6) New Schedule 80 Carbon Steel Lime Bin Lime Lines at the Courtney Bend Water Treatment Plant. Please submit all questions regarding this Invitation to Bid online via electronically. The deadline for questions is September 19,2023. 1. Removal of Existing Lime Bin Lime Lines 1.1. Contractor shall have on site all necessary equipment, tools, personnel, and material required for execution of work to completion prior to any removal of any existing Lime Line components. 2. New Construction 2.1 New 4" Schedule 80 Carbon Steel Pipe, Flanges, 90's or (Hammerlast 90's) 2.1.1 Install (6) New 4" Schedule 80 Carbon Steel Piping and supports to outside of Building. 2.1.2 Install (6) New Flanged Truck Connectors at base of Lime Lines 2.1.3 Install (6) New Flanged 90's or (Hammerlast 90's) at building side to Rooftop transition. 2.1.4 Install (6) New Flanged Schedule 80 Carbon Steel Piping along rooftop to designated Lime Bins 2.1.5 Install (8) Flanges in the middle of each long pipe run over 10' on rooftop. 2.1.6 Install (6) New Flanged 90's or (Hammerlast 90's) from piping into Rooftop Penetration 2.1.7 Install (12) Flanges 2' away from each Lime Bin Roof penetration. 2.1.8 Make connection from each new 4" Pipe to Lime Bin at roof Penetration. 1.1. The City of Independence, Missouri invites bids from firms to perform the following scope of work at the Courtney Bend Water Plant for the Water Department. The Contract for this project shall provide for, but not limited to, all equipment, materials, workmanship, and labor required for the proper removal of existing (6) Lime Bin Lime Lines, and reinstallation of (6) New Schedule 80 Carbon Steel Lime Bin Lime Lines. The scope of work to be completed by the Contractor for this projectshall be categorized for the purpose of bidding as follows: Line-Item No. 1) Provide for all labor, equipment, materials, and services required and as specified for complete removal of the (6) Existing 4" Steel Lime Bin Lime Lines and Reinstallation of (6) 4" Schedule 80 Carbon Steel Lime Lines with (12) flanged Schedule 80 - 90's. Line-Item No. 2) Provide for all labor, equipment, materials, and services required and as specified for complete removal of the (6) Existing 4" Steel Lime Bin Lime Lines and Reinstallation of (6) 4" Schedule 80 Carbon Steel Lime Lines with (12) 4" Schedule 80 Hammerlast 400 90*. 1.2. Contractor shall perform site remediation to restore all areas affected by execution of the project to its previous condition or better. 1.3. Organizations or individuals who are properly qualified and trained to perform such work shall provide the services and work to be executed by the Contractor. 1.3.1. A firm regularly employed in the installation, repair, replacement, of Piping and fittings. 1.4. All measurements provided in these specifications and supporting documents provided by the City with invitation to bid shall be field verified by the bidder for the purpose of bidding if they deem it necessary. The measurements provided by the city are NOT verified. The City shall not be responsible for any calculations made by the bidder when utilizing any provided measurements or dimensions. 1.5. Any delay or extra expense caused by encountering construction or materials other than anticipated or different from those indicated herein shall not constitute grounds for claims by the Contractor for additional payments or damages 1.6. The Contractor shall assume the entire responsibility for accidents to their employees while performing their work. The Contactor shall make observations of ladders, railings, supports, and other structure parts as may be necessary to determine their safety for use in performance of work. 1.7. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for all damages, resulting from the proposed work to all existing building and facilities of the Courtney Bend Water Treatment Plant which are to remain in place. Contractor shall take all necessary photographs, or other forms of presentable, verifiable documentation, of existing construction to verify existing conditions prior to the start of work. The Contractor shall file a report providing such to the Maintenance Supervisor listing any existing damaged construction prior to the start of work. 1.8. Any damage or issues discovered or revealed during the course of work performance by the Contractor that may impact the safe operating condition shall immediately be brought to the attention of the Maintenance Supervisor, or other appropriate agent of the City. Any repairs deemed necessary shall be reviewed and approved by the City prior to any work taking place, and will be handled on a case-bycase basis. NO repairs shall be made without written notification from the City to do so. This includes all permanent or temporary alterations to the existing facilities or construction that may be required to facilitate this project.
