Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; for the demolition of a warehouse / distribution facility; and for the construction of a 13,381-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility.

The Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) will receive sealed Design-Build Proposals for the Bainbridge Terminal Improvements project. The proposed work consists of the demolition and reconstruction of warehouses and other associated works. Associate works include construction of truck loading canopies, equipment sheds, asphalt paving (new and overlay), gravel road, refurbish existing rail system and re-establish grade (rail bed and ballast), install fire water loop and hydrants, elimination of depressed truck loading area, upgrade the drainage system, demolition of existing conveyor system, procure and install conveyor system, hard car unloaders, and rail car winch. The project will be a Design-Build procurement. The project is located at Bainbridge Terminal, Bainbridge, Georgia. Proposal must be accompanied by a proposal security equal to 10 percent of proposal sum. If a Design Build contract is awarded, the successful proposer will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, each equal in amount to the contract sum.
