The work to be performed under this contract shall include the removal of the well pump, well motor, impeller, and inspection of well casing for both well #6 and #8. The removed pumps shall be inspected for wear, vibration, etc. The repairs to the well pumps shall be completed according to the findings of the inspection. All other removed equipment shall be inspected and repaired as necessary. Following the inspection and maintenance of all well #6 & well #8 operating equipment, both wells shall be reinstalled to standard operating conditions. Contractor will be responsible for all other work and items indicated in the bid documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities, defects or irregularities in the Bids on any basis he deems to be in his best interest. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to revise or amend the Contract Documents prior to the date set for opening of Bids. Such revisions will be announced by Addenda to the Contract Documents. Copies of all such Addenda issued will be sent to all parties receiving copies of the Contract Documents. A Proposal guarantee (certified check, cashiers check, or surety bid bond) in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bidders maximum bid price, but in no case in excess of $20,000 shall be submitted with each Bid. A Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Bid will be required prior to the award of Contract. Proposal guarantees shall be returned to all except the three (3) lowest Bidders within ten (10) days (excepting Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays) following the opening of bids. Upon the successful execution of a Contract with the accepted Bidder or upon rejection of all bids, the remaining Proposal guarantees shall be returned within ten (10) days (excepting Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays). In no case shall Proposal guarantees of the three (3) lowest bidders be withheld for a period in excess of sixty (60) days following the opening of bids. Proposals may be withdrawn up to the opening of bids. The Proposals of the three (3) lowest bidders shall not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days following the opening of bids. This contract or subcontract is expected to be federally funded in part with funds from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Funds. Project shall follow federal bidding and contract requirements. Successful bidders on this work will be required to comply with the New Jersey Public Law 1975, Chapter 127, which concerns non-discrimination in employment, and State of New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, P.L. 1963, c. 150 and all amendments thereto. Bidders are required to comply with Davis Bacon Act and Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates. Copies of Bid and Contract Documents, including Information for Bidders, Bid Forms, Contract Drawings and Specifications, may be examined at the office of Consulting Engineer Services (CES) located at 645 Berlin-Cross Keys Road, Suite 1, Sicklerville, NJ 08081 (856-228-2200), between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
